Marian Kerr

Hi! I’m Marian. I am a Yandina local with a deep love for our town and community.

I have a wonderful, supportive husband and 3 amazingly kind adult children who I’m incredibly proud of.

Inspired by the idea that a strong community fosters belonging and wellbeing, my hope is to create a space where we can connect, grow, and thrive together – nourishing our bodies with healthy food, our minds with healthy thoughts and our souls with healthy relationships with ourselves and others.

Our hearts are full after the most wonderful eveni Our hearts are full after the most wonderful evening at Wildwood last night 🤎 We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Dr Corin Storkey, biochemist and co-founder of Seleno Health (alongside his beautiful Peruvian wife, Sally), for a very special evening of community, connection, nourishment and learning. We shared ceremonial cacao and maca tastings, beautiful organic food and a very moving seminar exploring two powerful Peruvian plants - Cacao and Maca. Dr Corin Storkey took us on an exploration through their origins and traditional uses, the ways these plants have nourished and supported Peruvian bodies for generations, and the new found science around how they interact with our brains and bodies. We were reminded that these plants are not just ‘supplements’ or ‘chocolate’ , they carry history, culture, tradition and a relationship with the land and the people who have worked with them for generations. It was eye opening to learn how we can approach these plants with greater intention and gratitude when using them. A huge thank you to Corin, Sally and the Seleno Health family for the beautiful work you do, and to everyone who joined us and made the evening feel so special. What makes us the happiest is when our customers can walk in and feel like they are home. You can read a book to your kids, chat to us, share a hug. We’re not just a health food shop. She’s an absolute whiz and we are so grateful she’s apart of the team. She’s also an amazing dancer and recently won a dance comp! One of Isla’s favourites in store are the Yindi Magic mugs, in particular this gorgeous butterfly one she’s holding 🦋 Side note - how beautiful is the cake!! Made by Yukina 😍

She brings such a calming energy to our day, but is also the best person to share a good giggle with. She’s sweet, gentle and silly, and bakes a gorgeous loaf of sourdough 🫧 We asked Heather to choose her fav product and she said “no don’t get me to choose just one! I have option anxiety at the best of times!” So she’s gone with the Nya Ceremonial Matcha topped with grated Spencer Cocoa dark chocolate because “it gives you that burst of energy but in calm, soft way. And it’s flipping amazing” 😂

Here we have a super simple homemade elderberry sy Here we have a super simple homemade elderberry syrup recipe that the whole family can enjoy. Made by one of our team members, Ellie 💛 Cold and Flu season is not quite over.. in fact when the seasons begin to change is often when we can find ourselves feeling a bit yuck. Elderberries have been used for thousands of years to help treat various illnesses. They have antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant properties, help to boost immunity and reduce the length and severity of colds and flus. Boiling and simmering them removes toxins in the berries and properly extracts all their nutrients. Adding the star anise, ginger, cinnamon and raw honey adds a lovely flavour and warmth, + an extra boost of goodness. Recipe ~ 1/2 cup organic elderberries 2 cups water 1 cinnamon quill 1 star anise a chunk of fresh organic ginger, sliced 1/4-1/2 cup raw honey (All ingredients can be found in store at Wildwood) - Add everything into a pot - Bring to a boil and reduce to a low simmer for 30-40 minutes until liquid has reduced - Strain the syrup into a jar. If using a stainless steel strainer ensure to press the berries firmly to squeeze out all goodness. This would work even better with a cheese cloth. - Once cooled, add raw honey - Keep refrigerated Adults - take a little bit (1tbsp) once or twice a day. For children - ensure to dilute the syrup in water Enjoy✨

It was a lovely morning in store today celebrating Roy and eating delicious chocolate cake with our team and community. Roy is the other incredible owner of Wildwood Organics and hubby to Marian. Roy is always down for a chat and never fails to make us laugh. His organised Virgo personality is very much appreciated, especially when it comes to restocking and organising our bulk products! One of Roy’s faves in store is the Happify Chocolate Bar. He loves them because they are a great snack, highly nutritious and very tasty 💛
